Don't worry, the book gets you off immediately drawing some things, then the author backs up some and starts to explain what you just did. There is some repeating of material, but I think it was done for a reason.
Do you yourself a favor, get the book and follow it from the beginning. For some, including me, it is so easy to jump right to the middle or back, but in the long run, you will short change yourself. In order to get the "most" out of this book and to learn AutoCad easily, you really need to start at the beginning and NOT miss a step along the way.
